Kasino Brown Music started as a music production company in 2003 for the purpose of providing quality music production to music industry professionals. After a six month stint in 2008 with another independent label, Kasino Brown Music LLC founder Kasino Brown launched the independent urban label.

Kasino Brown Music LLC was created with the sole purpose of releasing quality urban music. In July 2008, The Starship Studios was opened in Houston, Texas to house the label and its artists.
